Landscape Design with a Chinese Twist
Landscape in general is extremely important. It supplies or enhances the ambiance of any venue as well as directs traffic and crowd control. Landscape design is two-fold, both “hard and “soft”. Hard being the use of retaining walls, rock barriers, fences, furniture, etc, and soft as in the case of trees, shrubs and ground cover.
Small gardens are diverse. They can be owned by individuals, companies or even civic entities. They can exist in the middle of a shopping mall, on the roof of a building or balcony, or even just be someone’s backyard. The design and build process however is the same as any larger project with the added concern of a more up-close and personal relationship, due to the garden’s highly specialized function.
